Dairy Free Hamburger Helper

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz elbow pasta gf
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup thick yogurt df
  • 2-3 cups beef bone broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chopped veggies
  • chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ground pepper
  • salt

Equipment

  • 1 large sauté pan
  • 1 colander
  • 1 meat masher
  • 1 chef's knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons

Preparation
 

  1. Place a large sauté pan on the stove and spray it with oil. Add the meat, season it with salt and pepper, and cook on medium-high heat.
  2. Once the meat is cooked, lower the heat to medium. Add the veggies, green onion, and 1 cup of beef broth. Cook the veggies until they have softened.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, yogurt, the rest of the beef bone broth, ground paprika, and mustard. Combine everything.
  4. Turn the heat up to high and add the noodles. Stir occasionally until the noodles have cooked.
  5. Upon serving, sprinkle on fresh parsley.

Substitutions, Alterations, & Add-Ons:
  • Substitute ground beef for ground turkey, chicken, or other ground meat or substitute.
  • Elbow pasta is recommended, but use any shape!
  • Replace beef bone broth with beef broth, chicken broth, or vegetable broth.
