Classic Chicken Salad

Chicken Salad never gets old! This classic version is made with simple ingredients so you can easily satisfy your chicken salad cravings.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3/4 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/3 cup dijon mustard
  • 2 cups celery chopped
  • 1 cup grapes halved
  • 1/2 cup green onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • fresh chives chopped
  • 1 fresh lemon juiced

Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 chef's knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • measuring cups

Preparation
 

  1. Prepare the chicken breasts as desired, then shred them with a fork.
  2. Wash and chop the celery, grapes, green onion, and chives.
  3. Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix everything together.

  • Pair with bread (may contain gluten, egg, dairy, wheat, oat, sesame, etc.), crackers (may contain gluten, dairy, wheat, oat, sesame, etc.), chips (may contain wheat, peanuts, soy, corn, etc.), lettuce, or eat it plain.
  • Substitute grapes for raisins, craisins, apples, or pears.
  • Add carrots, radish, cauliflower, bell pepper, or cucumber.
  • Substitute sunflower seeds for pepitas or any other nut (may contain peanuts and/or tree nuts) or seed (may contain sesame).
