Chocolate Dipped Oranges

You may be familiar with chocolate covered strawberries, but have you ever tried Chocolate Dipped Oranges? It's the perfect combo of sweet and citrus! Plus, it takes just 2 ingredients and 5 minutes to make.

Freeze Time 10 minutes
Total Time 16 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cuties
  • 2-3 oz cacao wafers or chocolate allergen free

Equipment

  • 1 cutting board, baking sheet, or flat surface
  • 1 microwave-safe dish
  • 1 fork or spoon
  • parchment paper

Preparation
 

  1. Cover a cutting board, baking sheet or other flat surface with parchment paper.
  2. Peel the oranges/cuties and divide them into pieces.
  3. Add the cacao wafers/chocolate to a microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir with a spoon or fork.
  4. Dip each orange piece into the melted chocolate/cacao and set it back onto the parchment paper.
  5. Freeze for 5-10 minutes to let the chocolate/cacao harden.

Substitutions, Add-Ons, & Alterations:
  • Use regular orange slices.
  • Try this out with any other fruit!
  • Sprinkle crushed nuts (may contain peanuts and/or tree nuts), graham crackers (may contain gluten, wheat, and/or soy), or coconut flakes (contains coconut) onto the melted chocolate (contains dairy and/or soy) before it hardens.
