Burger Bowl

Build your burger as a bowl so you can add all the toppings you want & keep it mess-free!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 lb ground beef
  • spring mix or other greens
  • roasted potatoes
  • 2 slices tomato
  • pickles
  • pickled vegetables
  • 1/4 small avocado
  • chopped green onion
  • dijon mustard
  • water
  • fresh lime juiced

Equipment

  • 1 chef's knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 skillet/fry pan
  • 1 bowl, plate, or dish for serving

Preparation
 

  1. Prepare the ground beef/patty as preferred. Cook it ground or shape into a patty. Season it with your favorite seasonings/spices.
  2. Prepare and roast the potatoes if needed.
  3. Wash and add the spring mix to a bowl or dish.
  4. Add the cooked ground beef patty on top with roasted potatoes, slices of tomato, pickles, pickled vegetables, and sliced avocado.
  5. Sprinkle on chopped green onion then squeeze on fresh lime.

Notes

Substitutions, Add-Ons, & Alterations:
  • Substitute roasted potatoes for roasted sweet potatoes or squash.
  • Use cherry or grape tomatoes in place of tomato slices. 
  • Try fresh onion in place of green onion.
  • Use fresh lemon instead of lime. 
  • Try a honey mustard or ranch dressing (may contain gluten, dairy, or egg) instead of dijon mustard topping.
  • Substitute ground turkey for ground beef. 
  • Add bacon (contains pork), bacon bits (may contain soy and/or gluten), or tempeh bacon bits (contains soy and coconut).
