Simple Steak Tacos

You can never go wrong with tacos! Try this Simple Steak Taco recipe that's extra easy so you can enjoy your tacos as soon as your heart desires.

Ingredients
  

Taco Meat
  • 1-1.5 lb diced steak
  • 3 tsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • salt as desired
Avocado Topping
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1/2 medium jalapeño chopped
  • 2 tbsp milk df
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 fresh lime juiced
Other Toppings/Ingredients
  • tortillas gf
  • microgreens
  • pickled veggies
  • sunflower seeds
  • extra lime juiced
  • oil spray

Equipment

  • 1 medium fry pan
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 fork
  • 1 chef's knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • measuring spoons

Preparation
 

  1. Place a pan on the stove, spray it with oil, and turn the stove to a medium-high heat. Add the diced steak, paprika, chili powder, ground cumin, and salt to the pan. Cook until the steak is almost cooked through.
  2. Lower the heat, then add the coconut aminos, tomato paste, and water to the pan. Stir everything together.
  3. Prepare the tortillas as desired. You can fry them in the pan or heat them over the stove.
  4. Wash and chop the jalapeño and cilantro.
  5. In a small bowl, add the avocado and mash it with a fork. Add all of the other ingredients for the avocado topping to the bowl and combine them together.
  6. Add the microgreens and cooked steak to the tortillas. Top it off with the avocado topping, pickled veggies, and sunflower seeds. Squeeze on more fresh lime upon serving if desired.

  • Substitute steak for chicken, fish (contains fish), or any other protein.
  • Top off your tacos with pepitas, pico de gallo, hot sauce, queso (contains dairy), or salsa. 
  • Use spinach, spring greens, or other greens instead of microgreens.
